Setting up orbital stations was lonely, but not a horrible occupation. Raine has spent years organizing computers and systems to work in harmony, but when she is sent to a spa to wait for her ride, she learns that work is not the only pleasure in life. Orell has waited for her for centuries and he is not going to let a little thing like a Terran obsession with work get in the way of him claiming his true mate. He will use every amenity at the spa to wear her down and then he will swoop in for the kill, so to speak. What is a little death amongst friends and lovers?

This particular author is really hit or miss. She is very prolific, but some of her stories just don't work, the writing is choppy and the characters are not likeable. This is one of those books. The problem is, I really like the idea behind the story, and it usually drags me in despite knowing better I've tried to get just the sample and see if it's going to be a good one, but in this instance it didn't show up until a couple chapters later that it was going to be a dud. There was no chemistry between Raine and Orell. The conflict was obviously made up, and it was almost too easy for them to resolve things. Not her best work.

Intensity edition by Viola Grace Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
Raine has a lonely, but gratifying, existence since she has started setting up orbital stations. When her latest assignment is over she is sent to a nearby spa to wait for her ride. What she didn't know is that while she worked Draikyn Orell was setting things in motion to claim her as his true mate. The biggest snag with this plan is the fact no one told Raine about this plan. And she isn't sure she wants to give up her job, or mate a dragon.
But, Orell isn't above using every amenity at the spa to wear her down and convince her she is his mate.
Intensity, while a Terran Times story is also about the Draikyn mates. I like how Ms. Grace has woven the story about a headstrong dragon with an equally headstrong human woman, who isn't going to be pushed around. The interactions between Raine and Orell made me smile on more than one occasion. I enjoyed Intensity and think you will also.

While the chemistry between the leads is a bit lacking, I like the heroine and her workaholic ways a great deal. She makes the short story fun.
Very fun reading with some interesting twists and turns in the plot to make you want to read more about it. Spicy!
Desi persuing a lovely not quite so human mate. 24 Drai left the home planet to wait for their women to reach Allied space. Hope Viola writes about more of them.
This was a nice story but lacked some character development and spark between Raine and Orell. Sure there was sex but the whole relationship seemed a bit forced. The story itself was good and had a lot of potential and so did the characters if they weren't so flat. I always love the Dragon stories almost as much as the Oefric shifers and Orell was true to his nature and acted as such. It was Raine's character that just lacked dimension and she just seemed to go along with whatever was going on in the story. I would have expected much more of the spunk I like to see in the Terran women. I think Grace meant to create a strong character but just missed the mark a bit.
